The Air Management Liner System softens each hit or tackle by distributing the force of impact along the entire liner through a sealed cushion of air. A velvet collar is featured for comfort, and the Power® cap and epaulet shoulder design enhance the player's upper body mobility.

    Comments about RIDDELL Youth Power Phantom Football Shoulder Pads:

    These pads are for my QB/LB. The low pad height is great for a QB (turning head for hand-off). On the defensive side of the ball, the cushion above the clavicle has reduced his soreness after games.

    My only 'peeves' with the pads are:
    1. The sizing is way off. I have twins (same size), Son #1 has a different Riddell pad (XS). Son #2 has these (L).
    2. Inability to attach back plate to pads. There is a factory installed plate, but it is not the quality of a Douglas.

    RIDDELL Youth Power Phantom

    My son was very excited to get these pads for this season. Could not locate a sizing chart anywhere on website. Called customer service and were told Youth Large were for players who weigh 90-110 lbs. My son is 100 lbs so we we ordered. When they finally arrived, it was clearly marked on pads 38"-40"/17"-18", which is much too large for him or any other player weighing 90-110 lbs. Since team was already practicing in full pads, we requested correct size be sent ASAP. Unfortunately, we were told the the item was "incorrectly displayed online" and that his size was not available. My son was very upset and we are very frustrated. Although I would recommend Riddell products to friends, I would not recommend they be purchased at Sports Authority.

    The pads are very nice. However, the sizing chart is completely off. Neither Sports Authority or Riddell could give me information on the correct sizes for these types of pads. The Mediums are 16-17 inches across the shoulders. This is VERY large for youth pads. Coming from a size small EVX shoulder pads at 11-12 shoulder length, this is misleading. Could not get smalls as they were out of stock, but could not assume which size I would get. Unfortunately, the nice pads are getting returned.
