        The board mounts are secured via screws directly into ABS plastic. No really, that's the way it's designed. No metal reinforcement whatsoever. I don't expect this to last long [...]. I'll shop at the store from now on...

        acrylic fusion is very deceiving. this backboard does not have a hard surface, just a thin filmy thing I think I could put my thumb through it, i hope to get two years out of it, then find a better one. If you bank a shot between the support struts, the "board " obsorbs the shock like a sponge, but if you bank if off a supported are it comes off like a ping pong ball.The rim is great, heavy duty, i think it outweighs the board , not a cheap rim.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
