The SOG® Flash II knife is equipped with SOG Assisted Technology to propel the blade out once you initiate the 1-handed opening action with the dual thumb studs. It utilizes a piston lock that is easily released with a sliding button and includes a reversible, low-carry clip. The handle is designed to provide comfortable control and a reliable grip.

    I have had this knife for about 3 years now and just love it. I'm likely to buy at least one more in case for some reason they stop making them. This knife is perfect for everyday carry and is very durable. I have thrown mine into trees, wooden walls and fences, and even slammed it off of the cement several times when it bounced after a bad throw. Although i have abused this knife, it is still in tact, fully functioning withg no problems or physical marks. Only problem was the clip got a little loose. The assited opening is really nice. Many times i am holding something and need to cut it, so it works great. One main reason it is good for one handed use it because it closes with one hand. Big selling point i think. All you do to close it is slide down the release with your thumb. I blocked off the safety because I would never want it to engage when i don't want it to in case of an emergency situation. All in all this knife is the best knife you could hope for and will exceed your expectations.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
