I use these gloves for rowing for several years now, and most of my teammates use them too.
They are a lifesaver on long distance rowing (over 20k), they prevent calluses and blisters during practice.
The only issue tha the quality is somewhat variable, some gloves does not live long, while other serve for at least half a season (used everey day). But they are cheap, so I buy a few.
I tried fancier, more expensive receiver gloves, they are not as good for rowing as these.

My son plays high school football and he loves these gloves. He's had other brands that have rubber(ish) palms and he much prefers these!

Most football gloves these days have a funky plastic-rubbery palm that is great for catching a football but awkward for just about anything else. With their leather palms (which really do remain tacky after washing!!), these Saranac gloves are not only good for football, but for many other athletic uses as well. As other reviewers have noted, they're great for weight lifting and ultimate frisbee, and you could throw in playing goalkeeper in an unexpected pickup soccer game. They even make decent batting gloves. Heck, when they do finally start to wear out, you could use them for yard work. Very affordable, they're a "must have" for any weekend warrior who engages in a variety of activities.

Only leather is allowed for Guts Frisbee, and Saranac gloves are reasonably prices and surprisingly tacky. The mesh back breathes well.

Great glove. I use it just for lifting weights because I got tired of the weights eating up my hands and current weight lifting gloves don't cover your fingers. Provides great grip so I'm assuming this glove will benefit any football receiver.

I use these for playing ultimate in cold/rainy weather. They prevent my forehands from slipping, and make it easier to catch low throws and hammers.

i used these for football and baseball. they have a nice fit. not to sticky though.
