            My daughter wanted a new backpack, so we needed something lightweight - she has enough weight with the books she has to carry back and forth and she is a small framed 12 year old - and this fit the bill! It's lighter than most and holds all her books, 3" binder and lunch. She says the padding is more comfy than her former LL Bean backpack (which we loved too), and she especially loves the "emergency" whistle on the front straps! I am planning to buy a second one for my other daughter.
