Purchased this as a gift for a small dojo my son and I attend. Filled it with sand, and it's fairly stable. Any free-standing bag like this is going to get knocked over if you hit it hard enough, and it's relatively easily. This bag is for when you can't hang a real heavy bag.

As to hurting yourself with it, yes, you certainly can. But that's an indicator you're doing something wrong, not a defect with the bag. Training doesn't mean all-out smash as hard as you can, it means practice, and learn... to all-out smash as hard as you can.

You can use it by yourself for good fitness results. Personally, I like the rocking effect as it allows you to play with your timing and combinations. With a partner, they can hold it and allow you to take some good power shots without stopping to pick it up. If your partner holds it tight, it can become a real exercise to strengthen your arms, wrists, and knuckles.

We've noticed that it can be hard for little kids to kick it. My son is only 4'4" and he just about makes a belt-level kick to the bottom of it (at it's lowest height).

The bag gets used on a fairly regular basis, I would guess 3 times a week for about 15 minutes a pop, sometimes by some heavy hitters. No leaks, breakages, or other problems noticed.

Since it has no chin, it's not good for uppercut practice. The setup wasn't the easiest, but once we decided to read the manual it took all of 10 minutes to get together. I recommend reading the setup manual first.

Given the price, I think it was a good purchase.
