          I have been wearing the 990 series for over 10 years, first with the 991, and then the 992. I fast-walk at least four miles every other day, and when my 992s wore out I was happy to find the 990v3 to replace them. I was happily surprised that the 990 fit was exactly like my old 992s. New Balance is one of only a few companies that offers shoes in various widths, which is helpful to me with my wide feet. These shoes provide excellent support and comfort for my long walks

              As made by New Balance the 990 comes in dark blue and black. This is a very common shoe of choice for many folks (willing to pay the high price like I am, gladly), but the total lack of color selection by Sports Authority is appalling. unfortunate for both me and my local S.A. store, I have constantly been forced to purchase these shoes in other colors elsewhere.

                As I am a person who is working on going from overweight to a healthy weight, I needed shoes that would support me as I started walking and then transitioned to jogging. These shoes are wonderful as they help with my gait as I am running as I have some issues with my feet and pronation and these shoes helped with that. The arch support may need to be changed out, but that is true to all shoes but for me this was a must have these shoes have truly made it easy for me to go from walking to running. They also have taken the stress off of my body and back into the shoe which is a bonus!
