Keep your weight plates safely organized with the Apex Olympic plate tree. It offers easy-access weight removal and replacement, and it accommodates all 2" Olympic plates.
I have had this rack for many years. It stores an entire olympic set in a compact footprint. You have to stack the weights on it properly for them all to fit. 45s and 35s at the bottom and the smaller weights up top. The bars are staggered so the whole set will fit.
I purchased this to organize my olympic weights. When I received it, I rushed to put it together to use with my weights. What I didn't take time to do was look closely at where the pegs were aligned.
Once I had it assembled and started placing weights on it, I noticed that I could only put my plates on the bottom two pegs. The others were too close together for actual full size plates.
While assembling it, I had scratched some of the paint so I realized I probably couldn't send it back so I ended up setting it out in the trash.
Lastly, while pushing the plates on the bottom pegs, they slid on fine on one peg but had to be spun onto the other. That leads me to believe the pegs weren't assembled with good quality control and were either a little big or irregularly shaped. That made me worry about what it would do to the ring in the plate and whether that would cause them to feel lose on the bar.
If you're looking for something to hold olympic sized small plates, this may be fine. If you're looking to hold a reasonable amount of olympic plates (e.g. 230lbs) this probably isn't a good fit.
