I have the same pair of weights but heavier (10#'s) that i bought at [@] last year. Liked them so much i wanted a pair of 8#'s, so i bought them here. ([@] didnt have 8's). The minute I opened the box, they had a very strong toxic smell.... much like a "magic marker." They stink so bad that I had to put them outside to air out. After 4 days they still stink, but not as bad. The box says 'Made in China,' which is probably why they were so cheap. I would return them, but dont want to go through the hassel of lugging them to the post office and paying $15-20 in shipping. Just hope he smell goes away, then i can use them.
