      I bought these hoping for knee length work out shorts. When I tried them on they were boxy and shorter (I'm 5'3") than I anticipated. I guess I could wear them low on the hip, but that's not something a nearly 50 year old wants to do. I just thought the fit was weird on me, but I do have a small waist and bigger hips/thighs. Someone with a more lean build might be fine. Needless to say, they went back.
