The Nike 3.0 are a answer to my prayers ! As a diabetic shoe fit is a must. I live with extreme pain in my feet. I almost had to give up running all together but I found this light weight shoes and I have never looked back. The "Sock/shoe"fit is wonderfull Adesign. My biggest worry is that Nike might stop making this shoe line. I can not think of any thing negative about this shoe? Lastley...the look of this shoe is outstanding ! The colors combos are on point w/o making them boring or to loud. If I could shake the hand of team that designed this shoe I would do it with a big smile!

Bought these for my 16 year old son at his request. My first thought was "these are junk and won't last thru the first school semester".He loved the feel and wore them everyday for 4-5 weeks (school, no heavy athletic training like football, baseball, or basketball). About 5 weeks into school, he came home barefoot(shoe in hand) with a huge rip down the side. His foot had actually slid out of the side of the shoe while running in gym!...no cuts or tears, fabric actually pulled apart on right shoe and begining the same process on the left shoe. This is a 6' 200lb kid who only wears Nike, and his cleats, sandals, and other tennis shoes have held up quite well. very disappointed.

These are VERY light weight shoes. I recommend them but would caution as they are probably not daily runners. They are great as one or two days/wk trainers. At my age I am not taking chances putting all my miles on such lightweight shoes. They are super comfortable though and look fantastic. Love the 'sock style' fit of no tongue, remind me of the Nike Air Huarache from the early 90's. Just Do It.

Alright, I've seen a lot of negative reviews about these shoes but I'd like to add my own words. I'm a rower on one of the most competitive crew teams in Florida and I workout a minimum of 6 days a week and 3-4 hours a day. I am constantly beating these shoes up but they've survived my use for well over 7 months and still going strong. I haven't had a single problem with them, and they've been through rain, mud, heavy impact, and countless other abusive activities. I have always loved the Nike Frees and these just reinforce that view.

I had a prior version (v2 or v3) of the Nike Free 3.0. I had heard that the current v4 has a narrower toebox, but I had no problems fitting into the same size as for my prior Free. The fit was wonderful out of the box. Just a little rubbing on one instep during the first run, but no blisters afterwards. Have put on about 60 miles on these including runs of 10+ miles. These shoes have a great road feel - like I have velcro (in a good way) on my feet that releases easily from the road. I do occasionally run in Vibram Biklas and have no problem going back and forth between the two.
