Nice product for the money (was able to pick mine up for just over $400 with tax included), but for the retail asking price ([$]) this bike totally would be a rip off. I purchased it for the frame, wheels and brakes with the intent of replacing the pedals and seat. While the seat is firm, it is not horrible by any means. The derailleur, however, is sloppy and almost not useable under load (but what do you expect from an $8 part?). With an upgraded derailler and some nicer pedals though, this could be a very capable bike.

Bike is great, Living in Alaska and the trails here are perfect for the bike. The hardtail gives you a better feeling of the path. Make sure to send it for a full tuneup after you break it in.

I have had this bike for about a month and used it multiple times on single track trails. I think it is a good bike for the money to get into a 29er mtn bike with disc brakes and a shock fork. I got it on sale at my local SA store so even better. It came set up perfect from the store. The paint might not be for everyone but I like the flat black frame with the green highlights and white brake calipers and crank arms. The only thing I changed was I put a seat with more padding on it for the second ride. Not that the stock seat is bad but if you don't use padded cycling shorts it is not comfortable. Stock tires grip the trails really well and the fork does a good job smoothing out the bumps and roots. As long as you are realistic and not expecting it to be a bike with thousand dollar components you won't be disappointed.
