Comments about Lifetime Manta Kayak in Lime Green:

With the addition of a "tricked out" milk crate, the Manta becomes an excellent fishing kayak. It is also easy to add a hatch and flush rod holders to the kayak itself if wanted. It needs another "handle" on the other side (only one is provided) but that is not hard to add. When paddling, it does not "coast" much, but that is a plus when sneaking up on wary fish where back paddling may spook them. Our kayak fishing club has a similar kayak and a number of members have the Manta for fishing. The seats are higher up than many other sit on top kayaks and keeps the paddler up and dry even in moderately rough conditions. The shape of the kayak helps it ride over chop and waves too. The bright green color keeps cool in the Florida sun and is very visible on the water (a good safety factor). For two people it is possible for both to fish, but I prefer using it solo and sitting in the middle or back seat. My son (much bigger and heavier than I am) finds this kayak very good for his weight too. I can stand up on this kayak, but find I need to wear shoes because the foot dips are hard to stand on without something hard under foot. This kayak is also really good as a skin diving platform and easy to get on from in the water. For long trips, I prefer one of my other kayaks that will cruise faster, but for my uses, fishing and snorkeling, this is a really good kayak.

Comments about Lifetime Manta Kayak in Lime Green:

My wife and I bought one of these last fall and we absolutely love it! It's great for one person but can hold two easily (eliminating the need to buy two kayaks). It fits nicely on top of our Expedition and is light enough for my wife to load and unload by herself but it isn't cheap or flimsy.

We have used ours in the river, the bay, shallow and deep water and even crossed the inlet, which is considered to be for "seasoned veterans only". Our little green kayak does it all and looks good doing it.

This kayak is very comfortable (we have sat in it for up to four hours)and convenient with thoughtfully placed cupholders (which are also perfect for bait containers) and rodholders, although I would not recommend it for fishing with more than one occupant.

No other kayak is going to be as flexible and versatile as this one. It's the ultimate kayak for budget conscious couples like us. I recommend this kayak wholeheartedly.

i just got a Manta, for my b-day we were waiting on kayak side of the lake to have my girl friend & her obese mom picked up by a motor boat, they got antsy... long story short
we all got on the kayak+2 small dogs.... its rated at 500lb to be safe...lol but i had me + two girls and two dogs she weighs at least 290 , my girl 160 ,me 130 , dogs 16 lb each plus a kayak puller made from a stroller 5lb and 2 paddles....the boat took it like a champ omg! it tracks like a train, i was the only one paddling i was in the front as i am the lightest and my girl in the middle and biggy in the back, the more experienced kayaker should be in the back to compensate for newbies ''off '' cadence but no way this time, she would have sunk us .lol. 1/2 across i realize this boat is letting me pull this off! omg what a great boat i keep calling it a boat out of respect it did more than a kayak! it is a small boat... no joke!.... we did get a ticket from the life guards douches for not having our life vests on board so don't forget them like me, dummy .... even if you paddle 12 feet from shore! anywhere in California oh ya when i got the chance to lose dead weight i stood up on the kayak, easy, more stable than any other i've been on,and thats lots .... get it if your looking for a trooper of a boat and a stable ride for the price that cant be beat. one last thing MADE IN THE U.S.A. and proud as heck!

Comments about Lifetime Manta Kayak in Lime Green:

I go on lakes and protected bays. My wife is a poor swimmer so I wanted stability and ease of getting back on. We had a big red kayack but she was unable to help me move it. This one is much better, I can lift and carry myself, easy to put on rack too.
I have done 1, 2, and 3 person outings. Not a speed demon but we get there. Very comfortable and my seat stays dry, a big plus in cold watter.
As a single it rides well. I had a blast with the dog. Last one would flip when dog bailed and was hard to get all 105lbs of him back on. This one he gets on and off without flipping me. He likes the stable feel and now walks around on it and feels safe. He got scared when a whale breached next to us and won't jump off in that spot anymore (maby he thinks mr whale still lives there?)
Anyway, we like this boat better than the Malabo and it was less $!

Comments about Lifetime Manta Kayak in Lime Green:

Very stable and fits two adults and a child in the middle and could possibly fit another small child in the very front. It's stable enough to handle everyone. I had trouble keeping up with canoes and other kyacks but it wasn't too bad. The stability in the river and through small rapids was comforting though and it can probably take a lot more. It does well in the lake and tracks fairly well too. You can get a sail option and it has a mount in the back for a small motor possibly. I might spring for a longer faster version next time though. It packs well and one person can carry it around short distances but it's much better with two. I would spring for higher quality back rests and at least get some rubber foam, thin seat cusions because it can wear on you over time. Trust me, get the cusions for each seat.

I have a special needs niece who is 15yrs, 6' and close to 150lbs. She is big and does not always have control of her limbs to say the least, but she loves life. We have had other water craft that has been a challenge because she cannot balance all that well (don't even think about a canoe!) but this kayak did the trick. It has a low center of gravity, very wide and thus VERY stable. If you have little ones, or some with special needs, this is your best bet!

Great, stable and fun kayak. I got this tandem kayak for my grandkids and I to use on our lake. First time I used it, I took a ride with all three of my grandkids (ages 5, 7 and 10) and there was no tipping problem whatsoever. It works easily as a single, double or even triple kayak. Very stable and durable. Does not flip, even when fully loaded and riding out boat wakes. The bright green color makes it very visible on the lake.

We take it on the lake and it is very stable and easy to paddle. With the extra space in the middle it is easy to take our 50 lb dog along. It does take 2 people to get it loaded ontop of our van and is heavy to carry. We have had lots of fun with it. We even bought a single Lifetime Kayak for our son to use.
