Comments about BODYFIT Performer Heart Rate Monitor:
I wanted a simple "plug & play" heart rate monitor with ability to opt out of all the set-up that does not mean much to me. This model has more features than I want to activate and I wish I could just opt out of them and the personal set-up data also. Other than those reasons, there is nothing wrong with the unit. I rather imagine that I won't be able to find the product I want.
Comments about BODYFIT Performer Heart Rate Monitor:
I've purchased 2 and returned both. The first would not detect my HR at all. The second detected a pulse but out of about 40 tries, it gave me exactly 2 readings. Both were far from correct.
Comments about BODYFIT Performer Heart Rate Monitor:
The calories burned is totally dependent upon the activity you tell the watch you are doing. Most heart rate monitors tell you how many calories, you have burned based upon your heart rate and weight. Not this one. If you have programmed to run, you will get a higher calories burned than if it is programmed for weight lifting. Why is that? Calories burned is calories burned regardless of what activity causes the heart rate to go up. Not sure what designers were thinking. BOTTOM LINE: CALORIES BURNED IS NOT RELIABLE
