Throw away watch

By Mike

from Midland Mi.

Comments about TIMEX Ironman Core 50-Lap Full-Size Watch:

This is a throw away watch, the reason for that is when the watch band go bad you can't buy one for this watch. It seems like the Timex company dose not care that there product is worthless after a short time. and for that reason I no longer will buy any Timex watches

Comments about TIMEX Ironman Core 50-Lap Full-Size Watch:

I've owned several Timex watches and have no previous problems. However, after swimming only a couple of times in the pool this watch started showing condensation under the glass. I returned the watch (purchased from another retailer) after only a couple of weeks. Since I liked the style and function of the watch I purchased the second one from Sports Authority, hoping that the defect was in a specific lot. After a couple of months swimming I am experiencing the same problem with water under the glass.

Comments about TIMEX Ironman Core 50-Lap Full-Size Watch:

I have used this watch for a month of training in fresh and salt water, for one tri and one bike tour. i am 66 so the BIG numbers are great - i don't need bifocals to read it. The contrast is good enough that, even with old eyes i can read my times with a glance while in the pool or on the bike. It is holding up really well and the lap feature is excellent as I time my practice from swim to transition to bike to transition to run. I don't use the more sophisticated modes but as a tool for training with lots of sun and water, this watch is the best i have found.

It is big so i would not wear it to the opera - but then, not many people are asking me out to the opera.
