I bought this bike three months ago, and I've already put almost 600 miles on it. It's been a great bike for trail and moderate mountain riding. Admittedly, I'm not a rock hopping junky, so I can't vouch for it in those conditions. But if that's your choice of rides, you'd probably be looking for dual suspension, anyway. For established trails, unless you have the cash to lay down $1k or more for a bike, I would definitely look into K2 Zed 4.6.

I bought this bike a month ago and have used every weekend from hardcore to casual trails and it handles great. I did had to take in after a few rides to get a few things adjusted, but I asume thats pretty normal with any bike after breaking it in. The shocks are very good as well as the disc brakes, excellent for a entry to intermidate riders.

Great bike for the money- can't beat it. Rock shocks, disc brakes light. I changed the tires to a lower rolling resistance tire and I wouldn't trade it for a Gary Fisher!!

Good-All components are shimano so gears and derailleurs work very well. Tuned up very well. Very light frame to me. Amazing stopping power with disk brakes. Shocks work very well and are easily adjustable if needed for a stiffer ride and better power transfer. Things are easily interchangeable with upgrades if needed.

Cons - could be heavy to others. Although the metal hook holding the derailleur piece broke, sports authority had it under warranty. Have to get it tuned out after each ride, which can be costly without a warranty

P.S. Get the warranty, it covers a lot. Plus when purchased, keep the receipt in a safe place. Went through some issues with the the warranty for losing my receipt, but they had a way to retrieve the receipt.

For the Money this bike was a good deal because it was on sale. After bringing the bike back 3 times for adjustments on brakes..gear alighnment and to check the bike all over I finally had to take it to a real [@] and dished out $50.00 bucks for a Pro to redo the brake and gear cables. All they could say was sorry. I will never buy another bike at this place.

Was looking at the K2 4.4 but went to buy the store brought out the 4.6 which fit me better. Unforturnity it does not have a rail guard and caught pants on, almost crashed the first day. Sport Authority does not have the guard, looking to return it. Price not worth the crash.

Decided to start biking again and after some testing of other bikes, this one came in as the best for the dollar. I have taken this bike on some medium to hard trails and love everything about it. So pleased with this bike!!

Great bike for the money, just rode it and am very happy with it. Has nice brakes, shimano shifters and a nice Rockshox fork and its pretty light. It comes with a good warranty and its a good bang for the buck and this company has good customer service.
