Good for a Usage but plastic caps break easily

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Men's Trekking Poles:

I was sorely disappointed that the connecting plastic tips are so fragile that one broke meaning i couldn't use one of the trekking poles during my recent travels to Ireland/Scotland. It was frustrating to think that a minimalist part would render the pole unusable and candidly, I will discuss with Sports Authority and the manufacturer as the poles were great but with packing luggage, they require disassembly therefore the plastic tip issue arose of pulling the poles pieces apart. Not a happy trekker to be candid!

I needed rubber tipped hiking pole for Machu Pichu, Peru. They fit in my suitcase, were comfortable on the trail & were a big help! The handles were a perfect size for my hands.

              Replacement tips

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Men's Trekking Poles:

I am a disabled veteran who has difficulty walking. The VA Hospital will only make me leg braces or outfit me with forearm crutches.
These were reasonably priced, I keep one in the car and one in the house so I don't lose one. Just wish there was a way to attach an umbrella to it when it's raining.
When the tips wore out, I tried to get replacements both online and at the same store where I bought these. They are not available. Cane tips are far too large. The only way I got replacement tips, was by purchasing another set of poles. To make my point, I pulled the tips off the new poles, placed them on mine, then left the new poles, without tips, with the cashier explaining how this was not a good business practice. I did not blame them, it's above their pay grade.

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Men's Trekking Poles:

Great looking poles, but I would recommend spending a few extra bucks for something higher quality. I bought two pairs of these for my son and I back in August, so they've only been used for about half a year of hiking. One pair has seen the rubber grips pop off, and the other one has had one of the twist locks collapse and can't be used at all. The straps are stuck on all 4 and cannot be adjusted. They don't come with instructions. I will say the tips do a great job of biting onto rock/wood/just about anything to give you a good balance point, and they save your knees tremendously on the way down hills, but from the lack of packaging/instructions to the durability issues (even the logos and measurements seem cheaply screened on and wore off really quick) it just seems like a cheaply made low quality produce, in my opinion.
