sadly to say,
they didn't have my size in the store so I ordered these in a size 91/2,
Well, they sent an 81/2 so I had to return them, so I will never know how they are.

I love these shoes for walking the trails. Using in my gym classes. Hiking around town. They are really good for anything. I gave up running years ago, but I love the cushion and support from these shoes. I also have a wide foot in the front and narrow heel, and they are great!

This is my fourth pair of Kayano's and I love this shoe. They are very durable and last well into the 500 mile range. I run marathons and am always training. These shoes can keep up with my 40 mile/week average. They are my go to shoes, I would recommend them to any runner!

I have worn the Asics gel Kayano 16 style for 2 years and they have been wonderful. I recently purchased 2 more pairs of the gel Kayano 18. I Have injuries to my neck and back and this shoe is awesome! Great support and comfort!

I went up a half size for better fit. Granted it has been 6 years since I have purchased athletic shoes, so in all fairness, it may be my feet and not the shoe. (It could be old age spread. lol) I have flat feet and athletic shoe shopping has always been a pain for me! I puchased the shoes for walking and working out. I wear them when hanging out with my kids and grandkids and my feet are comfortable all day. I've been walking about 4-5 miles daily since my purchase and my feet feel just fine. I will begin an agressive training regimen next week and that will be the ultimate test!

This shoe was recommended to me by Runners World - I needed a running shoe that would let my toes breathe - it has a little bit of width in the toe box, which does not mash my toes together (some shoes squish my toes so much my toes hurt at the end of a run), I also sometimes get blisters on the bottoms of my feet after a long run, and these shoes have lots of support on the bottom, so that problem is also gone. The shoe runs 1/2 size small, so get 1/2 size bigger than your regular shoes. I buy nothing else, and it works for me. Wish they weren't so expensive, but my feet and knees are worth the extra price...

I have been recovering from a twisted ankle and shin splints. I also injured both knees over 10 yrs ago which got re-injured from the recent twisted ankle incident, so I needed to find a sneaker with great support and cushioning. This is the first pair of Asics that i purchased and so far so good. I have only had them for 2 months now, but pleased with them when I go for leisurely walks and power walks.
