I just got it and haven't really worn it yet but Im working on it. I just wanted a nice medium thick jacket with 100% windproof and water proof especially in Seattle area. Also that stays warm enough for me. ( I get hot easy so not need a down jacket even though I have one )
Just two things I don't want on this jacket is that its an attached hoodie. I wanted an attachable hoodie that I can take it off when I don't need it. I'm not a fan wearing a hoodie on my head. I tried to tighten the hoodie to see if it will cover my head but the top front ( forehead area) part doesn't close and it's still have a little opening so the wind and/or rain will get in the front forehead area. The drawstrings in the front pockets is annoying to my hands while putting my hands inside the pockets. It should be somewhere else.
Overall the jacket is a great jacket to have. The price isn't great unless if the quality is better than the price then it's fine.

Not as good quality as Apex Bionic jacket which is little more thicker.
Used in camping in April-May East coast.

I love this jacket. The fabric is my favorite part, as you'll quickly learn if you read this review. 

TNF apex fabric is awesome. I own another jacket very similar to this one, only without the hood and have owned it for three years and still love it to this day. I loved it so much when I was shopping for something new, I essentially wanted the same thing. My only improvement I wished for was I wanted a hood to help protect my head during rainy or windy days. I stumbled upon this jacket on clearance and was instantly sold.

The fabric is essentially waterproof. I might only be called water resistant in their description, but I'll trade this for my much more expensive arc teryx gore-tex jacket any rainy day. Seriously, TNF is being modest when they say this fabric isn't waterproof. If they claim it's not windproof either, they again being modest. With those qualities, you'd probably expect it to be a hard-shell. It's not; and yet some how they cleverly it still breathes very well. 
This jacket is really perfect year around if you lived in a stereotypical Seattle type environment. But would really serve most people as a spring/fall jacket very well. 40-60 degree weather with a light rain is where this jacket would be perfect. Its also great if your traveling or adventuring outdoors because its small, lightweight, and satisfies a wide range of environmental needs. I also like it because the logos are small and simple, I don't like looking like a free advertisement for a company. 

If there was anything I would improve on this jacket, it would be to move the bicep pocket to the napoleon/breast pocket. The bicep pocket is kind of worthless unless you have a single key or receipt you're worried about falling out of the other pocket. The other two pockets have zippers so it's really not an issue. 

Overall, I love this jacket and I'm confident the money I spent will be well worth it in the long run. Hopefully TNF didn't discontinue this model and that's why it was on clearance. The fabric really makes the jacket. If you don't care for the style, find something else that suits your needs in the APEX fabric. You won't be disappointed.

I wanted a jacket that looked good but was also water proof and could be worn in cold weather. This is light weight and also very warm. I love the look of the jacket and the fit is perfect for my size. I went to the store first to try it on to be sure I liked the fit. Living in new England we have a number of days when it rains and is cold out. This is the best jacket for those days.

I needed a jacket that would keep me dry and warm that was was a full zip up. I am more than pleased with this Jacket!! Actually keeps me warmer than a Spyder pull over I have that is actually thicker than this North Face one. Cant say enough about it, a great buy!!
