Comments about E-FORCE Bedlam Lite Racquetball Racquet:

Let me first start by saying I played with a Bedlam 195 for years and liked it. It was durable and had great power. That racquet lasted about 5 years. I started playing when I was 13. I later played in a competitive St Louis high school league and also college.

This new bedlam 170 is strung way too tight from the factory causing a massive loss of power. E-force claims its strung at 32 lbs, +/- 2 lbs. I think it's probably closer to 40 pounds, if I had to guess. It does however have decent feel because of the tight string. After several emails to E-force customer service regarding string tension, they agreed to send me some string so I could get the racquet restrung. That was 10 days ago and I have not heard or seen anything.

Also customer service is rather slow. I first called and no one answered. I then sent an email and finally received a response about 5 days later.

Unfortunately, the racquet also broke after 9 games so I'm returning to e-force in hopes they will send me another under warranty. I noticed this racquet was made in china, ugh, so I'm really questioning the quality. I don't recall my old 195 being made in china.

Another problem is the grommet has a protrusion at the very tip of the racquet. I grazed the wall with the racquet and the thin plastic grommet protrusion broke which then exposed the string. The composition of the plastic is definitely too brittle. One last thing, and this isn't a big deal, but the paint is kinda weird on the racquet. It's dull and you can kinda see through it. It's hard to describe but definitely not ideal.
