I got a flat on my mountain bike tire. I ran over a label with a staple in it (two small holes). I used half the bottle (4oz) of Slime as directed. After putting in the Slime I pumped up the tire a little. I then spun the tire numerous times. I then put the required air in the tire and rode the bike around the block to make sure the Slime pressure filled the holes. That was two weeks ago and it's still holding. I put the remaining Slime in my other tire to prevent flats. The second time I made the mistake and got some Slime in the valve stem which clogged the stem. No big deal though. I just removed the valve stem again (easy task), cleaned it, and everything was fine. When I was cleaning the valve stem, I noticed the thin green fiberglass looking fibers. I guess this is how the sealant works. Either way, Slime worked for me.

        Used this when I got a flat tire riding around in NYC. Doesn't work at all! Followed directions and the flat tire remained flat.
