The Sof SoleŽ Gel Ball-of-Foot™ insole reduces foot pain by providing cushioning for the ball of your foot and helping to prevent toe overhand. The Sof GelŽ material makes walking more comfortable, and the stick-on back helps prevent your feet from slipping forward.
They provide an extra layer of cushioning. Only shortcomings are they are thinner than other brands, and the sizing is on the small side. I'm a 10-11 men's size, and they just don't cover the entire foot area. For smaller-footed people they will be very good. Still works for larger feet, but you will notice size some.
Makes shoe feel more like a high end Asic's running shoe

Comments about Sof Sole Gel Ball-of-Foot Insole:
I normally only wear Asics Kayano running shoes and Asics Solution Speed tennis court shoes because those shoes are leaps and bounds ahead of any other brand that claim to offer cushioned sole of any high end running shoe I have ever owned. I currently have a pinched nerve in my foot between my toes. My Asics shoes are great, but with this pinched nerve the ball of my foot really hurts whenever I walk or run regardless if I'm in my court or running shoes. I decided that I would try this gel insert to give the ball of my foot a bit of extra cushioning. Boy was that the best decision I ever made! It has helped tremendously. I even went as far as adding them to my everyday closed toe shoes that aren't Asics. It too made a difference. It's best if you can pull out the shoe's normal insole and then place the gel insert below it and reinsert the shoes original insole. This keeps the gel insert from sliding around. It does feel a bit strange for a brief time, but I found that in a very short time I became used to it and it didn't feel strange anymore. I've tried it in a shoe that doesn't have a removable insole and they do move around a bit, but it's definitely better than not having the gel insert at all. I would definitely recommend using these gel inserts especially if buying the really expensive running shoes that offer maximum under foot cushioning aren't in your budget or if you just want more cushioning than your current shoes offer.
Daughter needed more forefoot padding in her shoes, so we tried these. It felt good, but when she pressed off the balls of her feet, the pad slid in the shoes. Only way to keep them in place is to tape them down inside your shoe. Better off with a full insole that's got the necessary padding.
