I have used the ASICS GT 21xx series since the GT-2110, and find them to be excellent running shoes. I tried a different model running shoe a few years back, and got a bad case of plantar fasciitis. My podiatrist and physical therapist both told me to stick with these shoes with moderate support through the arch (the denser foam) so my arch would not collapse when running. I have been running injury free now for another 1.5 years post plantar fasciitis, and that's a GOOD THING :)

I bought a pair of GT-2170's then ran a half marathon with them the next day...no problems of any sort including blisters. I highly recommend these shoes. Delivery was great and the service was excellent. Hopefully, this product stays on the market for a while. I want to get some more for future use.

Needed a women's wide, but none available anywhere so tried a man's, but smallest size was still a little too big and too wide. But it was worth a try. Wish they made more sizes in a wider width. I need the extra stability and the newest style (Kayano) unfortunately doesn't even come in a wide width. The Asic is the only sneaker that corrects my pronation I have - surgery on both feet and they work great - only now they are the old style and D widths are gone in the style I need. Hopefully Kayano or next stability model will come out with a wide width.

I run about 12 miles per week in hilly residential terrain on asphalt roads. These are perfect for my wide flat feet with pronation control. They last about 400 to 500 miles.

Owned this exact model before, quality doesn't seem as good. I need motion control but they are extremely stiff in the heal.

This is the most comfortable fit of all the 2100 line of asics.

The shoes are great. I have worn Asics for years. I don't like the fact that Sports Authority constantly advertises % off sales with a LONG list of excluded products. I bought these anyway because I needed them, but have thrown every other SA coupon away since. Too much fine print!!!

Best to buy while you can. The GT2000 which is the replacement for these are AWFUL.
