The spring in the locking mechanism is too weak/ small "to lock in place" the locking mechanism. The slightest pressure causes the mechanism to move forward and the tension is lost.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I agree with the previous reviewer. The spring in 1 clip broke before I even got it on the shoe. I'm still going to use the laces, just knot them when I get them to the tightness I need.

          The spring clips only hold the laces in place for a short time. The springs and resistance are too low. You can easily slip the lace holder up and down the laces. Needs to have stronger springs and a better grip on the laces. Lost one of them when it fell off after an hour or so of walking. Don't buy this product it is a poor design and not worth the money!!

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
