Our son plays baseball and every time he hits a homerun he wants mom to write the date on it and put in this plastic case and put in his room along with the other ones. I purchased extra so I have them on hand.
Open it by holding at at the base and lifting from the top. For a seamless look, the two pieces of the case slide together. It can take a second to figure out how to pop it open but once you do it will all make sense.
Deducted a star b/c the stickers on the pedestal for the ball are often placed crooked. They peel right off and it's easy to remove the adhesive.
The Baseball Display Cubes by Rawlings are excellent. They hold a baseball snugly and provide excellent UV protection. If you have an autographed ball that you want to protect, I recommend that you put it in one of these cubes and then store it in a dark place (closet) where the daylight can't fade the autograph. There are similar cubes that sell for half the price, but avoid them for your best baseballs, because they probably don't have UV protection.
