I purchased this tent at the last minute because my Coleman 9 person Cabin Tent (which I purchased new back in 1983) was finally having the floor replaced. It is the old canvas type really sturdy. Anyway, I wasnt certain how this new tent would perform but I was very surprised when I found myself and family in a down pour that seemed like would never end. If the term "raining cats and dogs" ever applied it was that evening. We laid there, in the middle of the night, waiting for the rain to start pouring in, which never happened. The next morning I thoroughly inspected the tent and only found a two inch in diameter puddle in each corner, which I thought was odd since it was the same in each corner. I also noticed several droplets of water left of the center of the tent floor. Fortunately, we had placed the queen size air matress to the right. I did this just in case our friends that were in another tent got flooded and needed to join us. But they too turned out okay. When we got back I called Coleman and asked for some advise as to how to make the tent 100% "sealed" and they immediately offered to replace it at no cost. I was not expecting this at all. I thought they would offer advise on sealing it but they just offered to replace it instead. Needless to say I didnt object. The odds of me finding myself in another storm like that are probably slim to non but I've decided to seal the rain fly seams on the replacement tent anyway just for good measure. So, would I recommend this tent and Coleman products? Yes, 100%. If you take care of your gear it can last you a very long time as has my cabin tent.
Purchase 2 years ago, use about 4x a year. I've had only one minor issue with one of the tent poles. Used for scout and recreational camping. It is big enough for 2adults and one or two small children. We love it.
the tent is ok but the flap is hard to manage and the inside floor seam in middle of floor seperated the first time the tent was used not good ground is wet.
bought tent for emergency kit and for kids to camp in the backyard. A first-time user of tents and I have to say it was very easy to setup. The price was right. I can stand up right without hitting the top of tent and I am 6 feet tall.
Quality Tent. Our Family has really put this thing through the ringer and the tent has been great. No issue with water, or poles. I would purchase this same model again if and when the tent wears out (already used for more than a combined total of 45days)
