Comments about Shakespeare AGL840 Agility Spinning Reel:

This reel, bought in a combo, started out nicely. Very smooth, easy to cast. But after only a couple of uses, after catching a decent-sized trout, it developed a grinding noise. I took the spool off, cleaned it well, greased, and reassembled. Cranked it, it's smooth again, but next outing, once the weight of the lure is on it while being cranked, the grinding/scratchine noise comes back. So, I repeat the cleaning ritual with no joy. Still noisy with any weight on it. It works, and I keep it in my car with three others, but I'm disappointed with the noise.
