The CATEYE® HL-EL020 Hybrid solar bicycle headlight is a new type of solution for the environmentally conscious rider. It's designed with an integrated solar cell that charges the battery for up to six hours of ride time. If that light runs out, an alkaline battery provides 30 hours of backup. The Hybrid is designed with CATEYE®'s FlexTight bracket, which allows quick and easy attachment to nearly any handlebar.

I use this product as a permanent light source for my bike. The illumination is adequate if you have moonlight shining above you, however I suggest having another light source on your head for night riding on those days without the assistance of the moon.
