Tried a 10 1/2 at the store (too small), tried a 11 1/2 at the store (too large), purchased a 11. Bad move, I wore them for a day, so returning them is out, won't purchase again.

Went hiking and had no problems with the boot. Nice fit, no breaking ing and comfortable. Nice support for your foot. No rubbing issues. Nice look and is water prof. Would recommend.

Really nice shoes. Very comfortable, no break in required.
Also very fragile. After less than 10 hikes the top lace holder broke and now I have a shoe useless.

I've always been active and in good enough shape to hold my own. I would rate my physical stature as 5'9" 160lbs and athletic. I've recently become an avid hiker and during my first few hikes I wore plain tennis shoes and did fine. For my most recent hike I purchased these Merrell Moab shoes. THESE SHOES ARE GREAT! Super comfy, great support, great traction, virtually zero break in and did well in and around the water. I could definitely tell from the get go what I had been missing during previous hikes in regular shoes. My latest hike was in fairly rough terrain however, I can't say much for durability at this point because I've only hiked in them once. So possibly a few months from now I'll come back and give a review on the durability. Bottom line is that this shoe worked so well that I had to write a review on them. That alone should say volumes about how pleased I am with these shoes.
