The Gamo big cat i a powerful air rifle the stock is nice black well build and very lightweight i got this rifle on 1.77 and .22 both are very accurate hit really hard i read many complaints about the scope but i don't have any you need to be patient to set the scope i recommended watch a video on YouTube how to set your scope very easy to do that,and finally you'll enjoy using this beautiful powerful accurate rifle.

The rifle boasts as a precision adult air rifle. I benched this thing and couldn't get a group under 5 inches at 10 yards. Aiming at a target the size of a dime, I fired 10 shots trying to zero the scope. Precision pellets I was firing wandered all around the target. When I think precision air rifle I'm thinking of hitting that or close every shot. Not gonna happen with the Big Cat!

Not happy about the scope but for the price, what can I say? I would recommend this for beginners and will keep this to teach my daughter to shoot.

This order was placed on 12-17-11. There was plenty of time for the shipment to arrive before Christmas. On the initial order,I had stated the delivery address was the same as the billing address. I gave her my correct address. When I received confirmation ON 12-17-2012, I notice the delivery address was incorrect. I Immediately started to try to correct the delivery address. I called customer support 10 times, YES,10 PHONE CALLS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE, PLUS 2 PHONE CALLS SPEAKING TO SUPERVISORS, AND A LETTER SENT BY INTERNET TO SPORTS AUTHORITY, Each time, I called the representative gave me the same scripted message. They told me they had corrected the problem and/or submitted a reshipment order. They had notified the warehouse of the destination change. That I would have to wait to see if the gun arrived before I could make sure reshipment was necessary for the order. The gun was being shipped over night.
The next day and the day after there would be no arrival of the gun by UPS. Frustrated, another phone call, being put on hold, was necessary.
They shipped 2 or 3 guns to an address their computer kept over riding the corrected destination address. I wonder at the awe the family of the receiving address must have felt. The guns just kept arriving at the wrong address. The customer service could not over ride this address.
Disappointment and frustration are to inadequate to describe our feelings. To not have a present for our only grandson during gift exchange was distressing and a first for us. Our (17 year old) grandson was very disappointed not to have a Christmas present from Pa Pa and Ne Ne! However,he was a good sport and accepted that it would arrive eventually.
Sports Authority's delivery was totally substandard due to their computer automatically inserting an incorrect address and not allowing the correction by their customer support representative.
The gun finally arrived at the correct address on Jan 4,2012.
Absolutely, No Compensation was given for their mistake! I would not recommend Sports Authority as the retailer of this product. Thumbs down on Sports Authority!!

For the price, this doesn't get any better. Got this yesterday and they greased the sh it out of it so took it apart, cleaned the barrel, tightened the screws, discharged it in my room... don't do that. My ears definitely felt that one! Might take it out to the range just to get in some practice to spare my neighbors. Not a quiet gun by any means, but I'm still planning to put many rounds though this one!!

Can't say anything about the accuracy but got a 3x9x40 scope and that should help it out a little. Safe shooting everyone!

This is a great gun for the money, bought a crosman at first,couldn't put a group inside a dinner plate at 25 yards, returned it and got this gun with intentions of doing the same if not better and getting a .22 rifle. No intentions of doing so. After adjusting scope I can group within a quarter at 25 yards, most in the same holes, not to loud, about like a whipp crack, light weight, durable, have had about three weeks killed several squirrels, a possium, a buzzard, and other animals..best ammo is the hollow point really punches holes through things(targets), put a hollow point clean through two small ceramic flower pots inside one another, pots didnt even crack. I deffinantley recommend to anyone.

hunt with it the scope is bad but very powerful [...] since i am beginner its hard t reload for me and one warning on back of the ammo they say has a dust that can cause cancer and birth defects lookyourself if u dont believe stay keep ammo away from mouth and nose and cuts

The cons listed are pretty silly. NO scope is on target until you site it in. Simple two sentences in the booklet on how to do it. Yes, it makes a good POP noise but hardly like a shotgun, that's just dumb to say that. It is less noisy that a 22LR or short and very accurate. Right out the box I nailed one of the squirrels that was driving my German Shepherd and other dog nuts. Had to adjust only a tiny bit to the left as it was off to the left a bit. Also, there is VERY little recoil to it but it reminds you it isn't a toy or even a BB gun. It is so fun to see how excited the golden retriever and the GSD get when I pull it out.
