          I bought this for my son. Because it is so thick, he couldn't close his lips around it and refuses to wear it. It looks like it would protect his teeth and braces if he decided to wear it. The next mouth guard I would purchase would be just for the upper teeth and not as bulky.

                  i had it for lacrosse and it was very good. my only concern was that i was able to chew it appart within a year. but i got good use out of it!
