      I use these primarily for cycling but feel they are comfortable enough for anything. They are great for someone that isn't looking for all out cycling shorts, sometimes cycling shorts have a little too much padding. These are also a little more casual, so you could wear them for anything. The price is well worth it because real cycling can be twice as much. I will say when riding with these they tend to slide up my thigh a little bit, over time.
