The Malone® Stax Pro 2 universal car-rack kayak carrier is a new design, combining the value of a stacker and the convenience of fold-down technology. Out of the box, it is equipped to transport 2 boats, but it can transport up to 4 boats stacked side by side on virtually any vehicle or trailer cross-rail system. It comes with all hardware, straps, safety tie-downs and blocks to carry two kayaks.

          Weekend kayaking; this product presents some difficulty due to it being centered on top of the vehicle. Reach becomes a problem while loading.
          We were traveling at highway speeds in excessive winds and it certainly passed this test.

              This roof rack is engineered quite well. It is very stable and the kayaks are held firmly in place. I mounted this on my Honda CRV and still have room for my bike rack even with two kayaks.

              The only issue is my gas mileage when fully loaded. It seem to drop 25-30%. I think any roof carrier would result in the same.
