Obviously a design flaw and/or poor quality. As others have mentioned, there is a square plastic piece under the seat corner connecting the seat, legs and arms that is made of thin plastic that breaks. I bought it because it was rated for something like 300 lbs (I'm 200). Got to use it 2 times last season, first time this year, I sit on it and the plastic snaps. Don't buy it.

My daughter had a one-day, five game softball tournament and we needed new chairs. We thought these chairs would be very durable and last quite a while since they hold up to 500 pound - WRONG. The one my husband was sitting in broke at the beginning of game four (he weighs 215 lbs!) The plastic piece on the leg, under the seat broke in half and then the seat kept sinking down on this side. Very disappointed, would NOT recommend these chairs to anyone.

The Chair came with a rip in the storage bag, though the shipping box was undamaged. Disappointed, it was going to be a gift.

It appears to be of good quality construction, and the rip shouldn't affect the performance of the chair.

Just looking for an easy, affordable chair to take to my son's games. This one fit the bill. It's a great little chair - easy to fold & not too heavy to carry. It has held up well for me.

THIS CHAIR IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE. YOU CAN TELL RIGHT FROM THE COVER/CARRIER IT COMES IN. THERE ARE STRANDS OF STRING ALL OVER. IT JUST LOOKS AND FEELS CHEAP(AS IN WORTHLESS). AFTER OPENING IT AND USING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME(THIS ALL WITHIN THE HOUR OF PURCHASE), THE FABRIC ON THE BACK SUPPORT WAS TEARING RIGHT THROUGH. FORGET LASTING THE DAY; IT COULDNT LAST THE HOUR. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY SOMETHING THATS MADE TO LAST. MIGHT COST MORE BUT GOING THE DISTANCE WITH FOLDABLE CHAIRS IS WHAT COUNTS

I used this chair while rving both on week-ends and 3 months as at a time. Thought it would last a long time. But, the rubber that holds the arms on the frames are breaking after 2 years. Also the arm stitching is unraveling. The Seat is sinking and stretching, becoming uncomfortable. Very disappointed since I had a great chair for about a month.

These are comfy spacious chairs. Nice wide arm rests with a mesh cup holder on each side. The back rest feels supportive. The bottom does feel like you are sinking. This is due to the pliable fabric. If the fabric was as thick in the seat as it is on the back rest, it would be better. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

WE PURCHASED 1/4 TON QUIK CHAIR A YEAR AGO AND USED IT 5 TIMES...THE RUBBER ON ALL CORNERS BROKE AS WELL AS THE ZIPPER ON STORAGE BAG..THE SEAMS HAVE ALSO COME UNDONE AS WELL..DO NOT BUY! WE PAID ABOUT [$] EACH INC..TAX.MY HUSBAND WEIGHS ABOUT 225 AND ITS SUPPOSE TO SUPPORT UP TO 500 LBS. WHAT A RIP OFF!

It seemed sturdy in construction and material, however, the seams ripped around BOTH arms. My husband is about 200 lbs when it says it holds up to 500 lbs. This was used for only a few seasons for watching maybe 8 to 10 one hour sports games. Very disappointed and now I have to find another, better quality chair!
