Comments about Hi-Tec Altitude Glide Hiking Boot Womens:

I wore these boots while working on a trail crew this summer. I wore them all day everyday and never had any serious problems with them. I did get blisters the first week, but that's only because I didn't break them in beforehand. They are extremely durable. These boots stayed in really good shape while everyone else's (more expensive) shoes were falling apart by the end of summer. I would definitely recommend these boots.

I am a project manager for landscaping. I have purchased this boot a couple times in the past in a store but then couldn't find it and had to purchase an inadequate boot from Sports Auth. Crofton, MD store only 2 hiking boots total while men's boots had about 20 styles--not good. Ordered online a size nine and very small. Currently returning and will try a size 10. I normally wear an 8.5..

I bought these boots this summer, and frankly just chose them because they were the least expensive option. I thought that they might not be as comfortable since they were cheaper, but I had no problems with them. I wore these boots on a two-week, 100 mile section of the Appalachian Trail and had never worn them before beginning the hike. I had no blisters at all, and they performed so well! The other people on my trip bought much more expensive boots and suffered more blisters/pain than I did. Also, it rained almost everyday but these boots remained sung and dry. I would definitely recommend these!

Comments about Hi-Tec Altitude Glide Hiking Boot Womens:

I am on my second pair of Hi-Tech Women's hiking boots. The first pair lasted for 4 years, during which I hiked regularly. I also wore the boots casually and never had any problems with blisters or sores. Towards the end of their life, the shoes lost any ability to keep out water, so at that point I decided a replacement was necessary.

I shopped around, tried lots of different brands, but returned to these boots. I bought a second pair. They are comfortable, have good ankle support and break in easily. I use them mostly for day hiking in forested/hilly areas, but have also used them for walking in the desert and sand dunes. Probably not ideal for sand dunes, but then, what is?

Anyway, I recommend these boots. The arch is good, the water-proofing is thorough, the fit is comfortable and the ankle support is extremely good. Give them a try.

I wore these on 4 hikes ranging from 3 miles to 7 miles, got blisters everytime on my pinky toes and heels. I wore them to work in between hikes trying to break them in and still got blisters on the hikes (no blisters wearing to work). I tried a new insole because the manufacture insole is pathetic and the blisters were worse. Went back to the manufacture insole and the bottom of my feet were aching half way through the hike. Tried a different gel insole, blisters were back. Even had the hiking socks. I really wanted these to be great, but they are awful.

Comments about Hi-Tec Altitude Glide Hiking Boot Womens:

I've used these shoes only a handful of times but the two times that really mattered, they didn't do so well for me(they were two separate long 11+ mile hikes). It could be that I laced the shoe wrong or something but the section that provides support for the ankle ended up bruising my ankles instead of helping. And because of the ankle issue, I needed to loosen the top laces which allowed my foot to squish at my toes when going downhill. Plus my feet are wide and I went up half a shoe size from 8.5 to 9 and it still caused blisters on my end toes.

Overall, not a shoe I'd recommend for any long hikes if you have similar foot shape like mines.

Comments about Hi-Tec Altitude Glide Hiking Boot Womens:

I am a zookeeper, we have unusual requirements for our shoes. They must give ankle support for varied terrain, hold up to rough wear and tear, and sustain regular wet weather. This is the first pair of boots I have found that will last an entire year being worn 40 hours a week in these conditions, and they don't cost a fortune. I buy them again and again, and recommend them to anyone working in similar conditions. Eventually the seam between the rubber bottom and leather top will give due to wet conditions.
