Comments about TOMMY ARMOUR Torch 2-Wheel Golf Travel Cover:

I made the mistake of purchasing this item because I needed a lightweight and collapsible bag that I could put into a suitcase on my way home. I was bringing a set of golf clubs to a vacation spot and leaving the golf clubs there. I didn't want to drag the Golf Club travel bag home empty so I was going to roll it up and put it in the suitcase on the way home. On this item's maiden voyage, a hole about the size of a quarter wore through the travel bag near the wheels. Now I understood this was a cheap bag and you get what you pay for, but still, it didn't even last one trip. Upon returning home from abroad I decided to call Sports Authority to see if they would back up their item. The initial representative that I spoke with was very nice and friendly. She said even though it had been just past 30 days that she would see if they could just replace the bag for me. She said it would be a lot easier than me going to the travel bag manufacturer. Of course she had to get this approved from an assistant manager or somebody up the food chain. The assistant manager called me the next day and informed me that I would have to contact the manufacturer of the bag and try to get them to stand behind the product. Good luck contacting Tommy Armour. Sports Authority wasn't going to do anything. So with all this managers infinite wisdom, now he's got a poor review of a junky product, and a worse retailer all over a stupid $50 cheap travel bag. Do yourself a favor and pass on this piece of junk. Even for 50 bucks its not worth it. If you want a real golf travel case, buy an SKB hard case. I've owned a few SKB hard cases and have used them several times. There is no better case made for hauling your golf clubs. And they hold their value if you want to sell one used. I guess I should have brought an empty SKB case half way around the world instead of buying this junky travel case. Next time I will.
