Comments about The North Face Men's Canyonlands Full-Zip Fleece Hoodie:

I really like this hoodie - it's great quality and has a nice feel. I got that strange dark green/blk ink version and just love it. What a great color combo. It fits well and is warm w/out being stuffy. A good item for those "in-between" days when you don't know what you are going to need. Very light so it is no problem to lug around. It's North Face so the quality speaks for itself.

Comments about The North Face Men's Canyonlands Full-Zip Fleece Hoodie:

Casual, lightweight hoodie, well made as is usual for TNF. Good everyday, "throw it on if it's just a bit cool" kind of thing. Good color (heathered green of some sort with high contrast zippers, but not garish).
This is advertised as a "medium weight" fabric. Noooooo. Quality lightweight fleece, fairly smooth on the outside, soft on the inside, but more like Polartech 100, not 200.
Zippers and pockets are good: because I'm active, I like having pockets that zip (all these pockets do) and having a chest pocket is an important feature for me. Wish they had sewn it so as to provide dump pockets inside the hand pockets. The neck zips up high, providing good coverage to the jaw. The hood is just "fair", however. It's a bit loose with no cinches to tighten it up in breezy conditions. I'm six-foot, 205 lbs athletic and usually wear XL, and this hoodie fits in chest and length as an XL regular, but the hood droops a bit over my eyes. There is no adjustment. Best to use a baseball cap under it if you need it while active, and that's kind of a pain.

Two other gripes: 1)The hem is pretty loose with no means of tightening it down. In breezy conditions, wind will go right up your back. At this hoodie's price-point, they should have addressed that with cinches, as is usual. Too Bad. 2) The sleeves are very long to accommodate thumb-holes which are a nice feature, but, and like the hem, they are too loose at the cuffs even with their "stretch cuff inserts" with no means of tightening them down. Bummer. The cuffs should have at least some elastic at the rims to keep the elongated sleeves from dropping over you hands when you are not using the thumb-holes. That's kind of a norm and disappointing that TNF didn't get this right. So you may find yourself rolling up the cuffs.

Nevertheless, a nice lightweight (NOT medium) hoody, recommended only if you get it well below list price. Otherwise, there are better-featured lightweight hoodies out there for the money.
