NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments about RAWLINGS Bucket With 24 Leather-Cover Game And Practice Balls:

I BOUGHT THESE AS PRACTICE BALLS FOR MY SON AT A HEFTY PRICE OF AROUND $84 AFTER TAXES. WE WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FIELD FROM THE STORE AND OPENED THE BUCKET AND STARTED PRACTICING. IMMEDIATELY I NOTICED SOMETHING WAS DIFFERENT. I BEGAN TO LOOK AT THE BALLS AND SEVERAL WERE SHAPED ODD AND HAD DENTS AND FLAT SPOTS. SEVERAL OTHERS HAD LOOSE STITCHING AND LEATHER TO WHERE THE LEATHER WAS BUNCHED UP AND NOT TIGHT FITTING LIKE IT SHOULD BE. I HAVE TO SAY THESE WERE A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT CONSIDERING THE PRICE PAID! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE.

Don't buy!!!

Comments about RAWLINGS Bucket With 24 Leather-Cover Game And Practice Balls:

I bought these being more expensive thinking they are synthetic leather they will last & be more true then the cheaper rubber costed ball. I bought these for my high school team. We had batting practice & I noticed the balls started to become egg shaped!! These balls are very low quality maybe they would last with little leaguers but who ever heard of such a thing? The only saving grace was the manager gave me store credit.

Comments about RAWLINGS Bucket With 24 Leather-Cover Game And Practice Balls:

I use these as gifts for the Little League teams by laser etching the team logo, roster, and player name on the ball. These are not good for batting practice or game play because they use cork for the center instead of wound wool string. After a few hits the balls become very deformed and will not play true.

Comments about RAWLINGS Bucket With 24 Leather-Cover Game And Practice Balls:

After taking the bucket home and examining the balls, I discovered that the majority of them had very poor stitching that resulted in bubbly seams that made the balls extremely soft with no pop. I returned the bucket to the store, and they gave me a replacement bucket. Yesterday, I took these replacement balls out for a practice session with my team, and the replacement balls are also TERRIBLE. Many of them became lopsided after hitting them just one time, and they do not have the pop that a baseball should have. They make a very dull thudding sound off the bat (instead of the expected crack off a wooden bat), and they seem to only go about half or 2/3 as far as they should fly in the air.

This has been an extremely disappointing experience for me. I play in an adult wood bat baseball league, and I purchased these balls because of the product labeling that claims that these balls would be adequate for game balls, and at the very least, a good practice ball. These balls are absolutely terrible for even taking batting practice, though.

This was a complete waste of money, and I no longer have the receipt for these balls after moving recently. To be honest, I wouldn't even want to take them back to Sports Authority again for an exchange in light of the fact that both buckets of balls I had were incredibly sub-par. In reading the reviews of this product, it seems as though everyone else who has purchased these has had a similar experience.

I'm very disappointed, as I formerly viewed Rawlings as a quality brand that I could rely on. However, after this experience, I'll think twice before buying any more Rawlings products.
