Comments about Ping Pong® Ping Pong Elite II Table Tennis Table:

Warning: This product is made out of particle board (manufactured wood)!

It is a full inch thick, giving it a good quality playing surface. However, it is *extremely* heavy and difficult to assemble. Once assembled, you must take care when moving it, opening and closing it so as not to rip the particle board. It works fine if you only need to roll it around on a flat surface. However, it is very difficult to move if you need to lift it up at all (e.g., to clear a few steps). We learned this the hard way. The stabilizer board in the middle ripped right out of the bolts that were supposed to hold it together. The screws holding one of the legs also ripped out of their holes.

I recommend a good quality aluminum surface instead. It is lighter and stronger. This is the last time I'll ever buy anything made out of particle board!

This table took longer to assemble than I anticipated but the quality more than made up for it. I used to have a cheaper and lighter table that I bought for under $200 but that one is no comparison to the new one. I like how they incorporated the accessory holder into the end of the table.

Comments about Ping Pong® Ping Pong Elite II Table Tennis Table:

This was a Christmas gift for my two sons....its what they wanted. Got it onsale and used a 25% off coupon also, so the price was right. The box is very very heavy, 200lbs, thats what it felt like and 4'long x 4'wide, you will need a pick up truck. So there was no wrapping this gift and putting it under the tree. The expectation was that dad (me) was going to assemble this gift on Christmas Day so that the kids could play with there new gift. The assembly process did take 5 hours, there are no short cuts. All of the parts went together as instructed, no surprises. You will need a second person to help lift the table ends to connect to the center frame. My sons love their table tennis and play every day. We are completely satisfied with the quality of this table, very sturdy. I would recommend this table to anyone.

Kinda heavy, but if any things usually light, it's not built very well. My sister and I put it together in about 3 hours. After we finished the assembly, we played and we were very impressed. Though my sister lost the game, she knew she made a great purchase. Putting it up and down feels very strong and I like how it doesn't just fall down. I'm very happy with it all. You can't be a complete moron to complete this but this world is filled with them.

Comments about Ping Pong® Ping Pong Elite II Table Tennis Table:

This is a great table that is very sturdy and constructed well. The assembly was very easy and the pictures do a good job showing each step.

There are lots of reviews on the website that the installation was very difficult and that makes no sense if you just follow the instructions and pictures they provide. Maybe if you are a child or don't know what a screw or bolt is then it may be difficult. It took an hour and half to put together and having a drill helps a lot.

the kids are having a blast as it was their xmas gift. But we have already been spending several hours of adult game time after they are in bed. Overall it has been a great family gift and will provide years and years of family time and fun!!!!!

            Some assembly and muscles required...

Comments about Ping Pong® Ping Pong Elite II Table Tennis Table:

This is a HEAVY table... you will need two strong adults to carry and assemble.

Assembly requires CAREFUL reading of directions and is not for the faint of heart. If you are one that likes to wing it and just look at the pictures, do not buy this table. There are parts that have minute differences that must be put in the correct place and order.

That said, all the parts were included and it went together as it should.

If you under take assembly, make sure to have a power screwdriver with adjustable torque. If you overtighten into the 1" top you will strip the wood (particle board?)

Having just completed assembly, my biggest dissapointments are: 1) while the top is a sturdy (and heavy) 1" thick, the metal skirts around the bottom of the top are simply stamped sheet metal and provide minimal support (I would rate them as flimsy). From the pictures, I had assumed they were square/rectuagular brackets that provided additional stiffening.

                2) opening and folding the table is difficult (though I may have over tightened a couple of nuts)... regardless it was a challenge to open. Not suitable for children to do so by the weight alone.

Comments about Ping Pong® Ping Pong Elite II Table Tennis Table:

Assembly took two adults 5 hours to assemble. The nuts and bolts don't fit well and 4-5 holes had to be drilled with a 3/8 drill bit just to get the bolt through. After I finally got to the part to put the legs on, I noticed two legs were the wrong part and had to call service to get them sent. They did arrive in 2 days though. The entire table weights around 200 lbs so it is important to have strong help especially when lifting the table tops.

Comments about Ping Pong® Ping Pong Elite II Table Tennis Table:

This table took 5 hours to assemble with two people, power drill, and ratchet set. It is very heavy and requires significant strength to assemble. The directions in my box were in spanish. My table came with two wrong legs. At least 5-6 random holes were not correct size in the metal support beams and required 3/8 drill bit to fit the bolts through. Some of the nuts and bolts are nearly impossible to fit. Very unfriendly assemblage.
When I called to order the correct legs I was rudely told I was at fault by customer service (Chris). The Escalade sports site boasts best service after the sale and courteous/ professional service but found this to be far from the truth.
I was very disappointed with the assembly and service but after so much effort to get it close to fully assembled I have no choice but to wait on my parts.
