Comments about Park & Sun Portable Tetherball Set:

We bought this for our kids for Christmas. It's nice because our 11 year old son can set it up by himself for the most part. Pushing the stakes in with a foot takes someone with a little more size if the ground is hard. The down side is that we had to buy our own ball. The first ball would lose air as soon as it was pumped up. A quick check in the bath tub showed the whole bottom seam was leaking. A call to Sports Authority got another kit sent out. But as soon as I pushed the needle in to pump that ball up the valve pushed into the ball itself. I boxed everything up and sent it back. We went to the local Big 5 to get a replacement ball and the kids have been having fun since.

Comments about Park & Sun Portable Tetherball Set:

Setup was easy. The soil in Texas is not great for staking so this was a problem. The pole wobbled as the ball went around as a result. This was made worse by the loose fit between two of the pole sections.

My kids, ages 6 and 8, were having a great time for 10 minutes and then the rope holding the ball complete detached from the pole. Fortunately there wasn't a window nearby. I then realized the the metal piece the rope clip attached to had completely broken off the pole. To reattach it you have to tighten a bolt within the narrow, long top pole section which is sealed just above the bolt placement. Since that is impossible using either your hand or any tool I'm aware of, I had to send it back.

Great concept, horrible execution. Don't buy it.
