High and low pulley positions for upper and lower body exercises
Honestly it didn't look so good at sports authority, and looked cheap. But I couldn't say no to the price. I already had a Marcy dumbbell bench that was decent and I really wanted a cage with cables.
I've had it for a couple months now and it's great! Especially when you build it nice and tight! Could use better hangers or whatever for the bar but otherwise it's perfect, and you can buy them online.
I use it in a small room with the bed flipped out of the way, and a 6' bar with good bumper weights. So far it has stood up fine to 230 lb deadlifts and squats. The pulleys are real smooth too (so far), and work great for rows. Lat pulldowns are a touch tough with heavy weight, but you can hook your feet under the weight holders. Pullups and dips are nice and stable, the machine doesn't move on me at all. With these and my 90lb powerblocks, I really, literally, don't need ANYTHING else.
Crossfit is in the family but not our immediate. So weight lifting and good health require good equipment, but the purpose for us was to avoid monthly gym fees and keep the budget low while providing everyone the "station" they need. This Marcy rack/cage does a great job. Yes it could be thicker, yes it could have more holes (closer together) and yes people will find something else to whine about...but it's a very good piece of equipment that gives you a ton of options (especially if your bench has leg and curl options) with decent storage for plates and stuff. If you're a total gym rat this won't be your cheese, but if you and your family need a solid all in one to keep in shape than this should be your device to solve those needs.
Have not been able to use it, piece essential for putting it together was mis-drilled called company but in no hurry to send out correct piece 10 days, they say. Kind of a bummer so not able to duse at all just sitting there collecting dust.
GREAT PRODUCT FOR BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE TRAINERS

Comments about Marcy Cage System:
My wife and I are in our 40's and love our new Marcy Cage system. We use it for all around body workouts.
Pros: It was easy to put together and very sturdy. Very versatile. Cons: It is kind of loud when hitting the metal bar to it. Pulley system is kind of cheap but still gets the job done. Recommendation: Use home oil on the pulley bar and it will slide super easy. Worked like a charm.
Took 2.5 to 3 hours to assemble. Very satisfied with construction and design of cage. Size fits perfectly in my spare room. Comes with upper and lower pulley system with lat and triceps bar. Convenient storage for plates and dumbbells. Pull up bar includes neutral grip. Dip bar is easy to adjust for different heights. System makes doing bench press and squats safe to do and guard rails are quick and easy to adjust. My husband and I are pleased with this product, I weigh 120 and he 211.
