Loved this because it was affordable and came with a paddle. Entire family uses it. Only wish I had bought it at a competitor sporting good store, because my friend bought the same one for $299 sale price and got additional 10% off it. It was red though, not this cool lime green.

Comments about Lifetime Products Freestyle Multi-Sport Paddleboard:

Took a chance and bought this board with no lessons given (am a regular kayaker though). Picked up easily with this board, very stable on the water and have no problems changing positions-standup to kneeling to sit down. This is important to me because of a shallow river-chattahoochee-that i paddle on (and hence your i am concerned with my fins hitting the bottom of the river).Have used my board 4x & have not fallen off yet & my confidence is growing.I made my own handles and have added 2 of them to the middle of the board (1 directly in the middle and one on the outside middle indentation), this is well worth the time and effort as it makes carrying the board much easier. The board takes on alittle water but not a big problem. Also attached the fins very tightly and have not had any problems with them.Overall to just get out there and try SUPing, you can't beat this board. I am happy with my purchase.

Comments about Lifetime Products Freestyle Multi-Sport Paddleboard:

I have owned this board for almost a year now, and it definitely has it's strengths and weaknesses. I'm more of an endurance person, and fairly fit to use this product for extended trips around Fort Lauderdale's New River and Haulover Sandbar on weekends. Mostly ICW and a few times off the beach with small waves.
Primary reason for purchasing this board was that it was durable, affordable, and included a paddle! Thought it would be a great starting point, rather than spending a lot, and not use it. Found out I've been using it as intended, a few times per week.
Due to the (heavier) construction material, wide width, and fish-tail shape, this board is slow. Compared to other paddleboards (and kyaks), you will be constantly paddling just to keep up with casual paddlers. And yes, it doesnt take very long to get left behind. The paddle is just a little heavy, and can get filled with water in the tube, making it heavier. However, the height is also adjustable for different users.
This model features adjustable fins, something usually not found on paddleboards. I suppose you can adjust them to help correct if you're a stronger on one side than the other. Remember that adjusting them to either side, will increase drag, making you even slower.
Carrying this board from your vehicle to launch, or back to the car, is very clumsy. The molded-in handle isn't deep enough to get a secure grip into it as your fingers are barely in the large, rounded, recessed area. The side (rails) are very thick and somewhat hard to get your hand around, but provide better grip and control than the center handle. Add the weight at 40lbs, some distance, plus wind, means an interesting trip back to your vehicle.
One other drawback I've experienced is that this board takes on water, making it even heavier! Actually had to return the first board due to approx 4+ gallons being drained out after returning to the ramp. The current board, does not leak as much.
Weighing at 195 Lbs, my feet are inside the water as the center of the board is lower than the sides, which are above waterline, so you may be standing in water the whole time (Not so on other boards)
OK, so now the good parts. As previously mentioned, this is an excellent value if you're just starting out, as it also includes a paddle. It is very durable, chip and scuff resistant, uv resistant etc. There are bungee straps on the bow and stern to attach a small lunch cooler or life preserver. There is a nice handle at the front, where you can attach a line for light docking or anchoring. Others have reported fins popping out, but none of that to report. (Fin replacement on fiberglass boards can get expensive)
Overall it's a great casual board. I'll use it as a loaner to those who'd just like to try paddleboarding, and I always get lots of questions. The width makes it less fearsome for novices who have a hard time balancing, and helps with wave action they may encounter. No worries about getting chipped up by paddles or scraped on rocks, making it even more owner-friendly. SO there you have it, Get off the couch, buy this thing, and get on the water!

Just bought this board, very user friendly as a beginner, but heavy to carry by just yourself. Was pleased that I was able to stand up immediately and not feel like I was going to fall off!

Comments about Lifetime Products Freestyle Multi-Sport Paddleboard:

I am a beginner, and I find this to be a great introductory board. It's very stable. The first time I took the board out was in choppy lake waters, and I felt very confident. I also like the fact that it came with a paddle.

My only critique of the board is that it is difficult to maneuver. This may be because I am short or because the board is heavy. Make sure you have somebody to help you carry it to and from your destination.

The board is super for beginners, and I can't wait to get back out again!

The paddle poor quality. The button to keep the two paddle shafts together was rusty the first day. This is supposed to be used around the water?

I bought this as a first time paddle boarder and was relieved to see that my wife as well as my son could use it. It is very stable and easy to get back on after falling off. It is not fast but the ride is nice, however, the fins have a ring that is difficult to tighten, and they tend to pop out when landing on rocks.
