good for the price

Comments about Lifetime Kokanee Kayak:

My wife and I use this kayak for ocean bay and snorking. Yes it is a bit heavy as others have mentioned but add a kayak dolly to it and there is no problem. Yes you get wet but it is a sit-on kayak. Very stable even when paddling back in through small surf. If you are looking for speed then look else where. If you are looking for fun on a budget you will be fine.

Take a Pass

By Kayak Hopeful

Comments about Lifetime Kokanee Kayak:

I would take a pass on this kayak for multiple reasons. Too big and bulky, no easy way to transport and in any kind of slightly rough water and I don't mean ocean, I mean a bay on a slightly windy day, boat will continually have water coming in. Nothing really good about it, and just not worth the hassle. Maybe if you have house on calm lake, don't ever have to transport and only going to be used in summer, can get away with it, but other than that, I would look for another option.

Very Heavy

Comments about Lifetime Kokanee Kayak:

I bought this as a second kayak as an addition to my existing single person kayak but I regret the purchase. This kayak is very stable and can hold a lot of weight. Unfortunately, this kayak is extremely heavy weighing a whopping 77 LBS! Rowing this beast was like trying to pull a 18 wheeler attached to this thing. Probably not the best kayak for anyone but those that want a massive workout rowing and not getting very far. Also, the plastic is very delicate, any bumps against pavement leave big scratches and gouges behind. My Ocean Kayak weighs much less and the plastic is far more durable against the same type of bumps against pavement.

Kokanee

Comments about Lifetime Kokanee Kayak:

Love this kayak. Love the space, the ease of paddling, storage areas, comfort, etc. "BUT", I'm only 5.1 and weigh 135lbs. and this kayak is sooo heavy. My friend and I could barely lift it 5" off the ground, getting it to the water. When we got to the grass we dropped it and slid it to the water. Loading, after paddling for 2hrs., was a horrible experience. Way too heavy for a women.

Comments about Lifetime Kokanee Kayak:

Sold my 16.5 ft Ocean Kayak Cabo tandem, which was a beast to manage. The Kokanee fits easily in my flatbed, making it a breeze to load & unload. My only complaint is the included snap-in seats feel a bit flimsy, and I don't expect them to last long. I am planning on installing some deck loops, and purchasing a better quality clip-in seat. I paid $350 on sale at SA, see it's $319 today - great deal!

  • Easy Entry & Exit
  • Stable

Cons

  • Heavy

Best Uses

Comments about Lifetime Kokanee Kayak:

For the Price I can't ask for more! Quality is Great just a little heavy for the size of it but for me and my family that are mostly beginners it's a very stable kayak. The Only Cons of this Kayak when kayaking in ocean with a lot of waves it's really though to get moving forward with it. Pros its compact, wide enough to stand on it.
