Comments about Coleman Signature Prairie Breeze 9-Person Cabin Tent (14x10):

I signed my son up for the cub scouts and they have monthly camping trips. My previous gear had been minimalist backpacking gear which is nice for backpacking, but not for car camping. I've set the tent up a few times and I think it is a pretty nice tent overall, but I would make a few changes. I got the tent that is this large in the event of inclement weather, my family and I would be able to stay in there with enough space to move around a little bit.

1) On a tent of this size, I would have preferred a tent with structural support to the door.
2) It would've been nice if the fly came down just a little bit more over the windows to create an awning of sorts to enable to windows to be open at the top at night for air circulation.
3) The poles have all have a hole in them to attach the fly with a bungee cord and hook. It would've been nice to see this in the instructions. Not that big of a deal, but that would've been nice.
4) More guy lines under the windows for extra support so the tent isn't flapping in the wind.

The tent was really nice and spacious even with two queen mattresses in there. I plan on getting a small side table or two to keep some of the junk off of the floor.

I really like how there are 6 windows which allow for a lot of ventilation, especially during the day when it's warmer out. At night with the windows down and the light on, it creates a nice look. The fan isn't very powerful and I don't see how it makes a difference.

The tent is large, and the walls are fairly straight up and down, and I'm not sure how well it would do in strong winds

Overall this is a nice tent and I'm glad I bought it.
