I bought this bench, for my vacation house, just so I could stay toned intending to use light weights only, and not have to spend a lot of money. This bench is small roughly 7/8 's. scale, not very secure, no matter how hard you torque the bolts, and probably best suited for a child. Do yourself a favor spend more money, you definitely get what you pay for.
This is a good bench for me, a beginner. Assembly was easy enough, took about 90 minutes. It is sturdy enough for my needs, it doesn't take up a lot of space and is light enough that I can easily move it. I would say it is good value for money. However, if you are tall, you will not be able to use the leg extension. I am 6' and my feet are on the ground when trying to use the extension making it very awkward to use.
A lot of bench for the money and I'm pleased with the sturdiness for the price paid. That price barely gets you a basic flat bench.
The frame is sturdy. The seat is not that comfortable. I just lay a folded towel on it. Problem solved. Plus easy to keep it clean that way. If you're on a tight budget and want a good bench, I recommend it.
