Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Adventurer 2 Tent:

Went camping over the weekend and was disappointed seeing the tent once it was assembled. We were able to fit one twin mattress in there but that didn't work so well for two grown people wanting to share the mattress since that's all there was room for. Maybe if you're an Oompa Loompa then this is the tent for you but i would recommend paying a little more to get a roomier tent. We ended up sleeping in the car and used the tent as storage for the food & drinks.

        Good value

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Adventurer 2 Tent:

My son and I have spent more than 50 nights in this tent over the past 4 years of Cub Scout camping. At 6'3" and 260lbs I am not small, and my self, my son who is now 4'11" have slept comfortably and BONE DRY in this tent.
This tent has an 8' long floor, you need to be massively tall to not have room in this tent. At 8' long and 47" wide any two people who can sleep on a standard 20-22" wide sleeping pad will sleep comfortably as well. If you're under 6' your daypack will probably fit as well, if it doesn't there's room in the vestibule. If you have concerns over the size, you're not really looking for a 2 person tent. No other 2P I know of has a 96" long floor.
This tent isn't light....it is over 8lbs. Even split between 2 people's packs its not truly suited for backpacking. Its great for car or base camping though. The pole setup is fiberglass and hubbed one piece unit. It looks intimidating but it only assembles one way. Not possible to arrange incorrectly. The tent body clips to poles easily. The fly is reversible so I don't see how it could be hard to setup or possible to pitch I correctly. Two 9 yr old scouts can set this tent up in less than 10 minutes. One adult can do it about 5.I have broken two tent body to pole attached clips in 4 years. They aren't replaceable so it one more breaks it'll be time for a new tent and I'd buy another.

You won't find a another 2 person tent with as much room for tall campers at any price. If you drive to your campsite and are looking for something durable and roomier than a typical 2P tent this will be a great value.
If you weigh your gear, or need fancy materials you need to look elsewhere

This tent was too small for our use, and I returned it in favor of a larger Coleman tent.

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Adventurer 2 Tent:

This tent is a small, convenient size. The description says you can fit two people in this tent. You can, but both of you would take up the entire tent space; a close fit. I would say get this tent for one person to fit comfortably with their belongings inside. It's a little complicated to put together, lots of pieces, but it's not too bad.

i was very disappointed with the product tent poles had elastic holding when together one set was broken right out of the bag. Also the stitching around the door way was coming away from the zip.

I just bought this tent back in the middle of May. I went with a group of people on a canoe trip in West Virginia. It was a 12 mile journey on canoe where we stopped and set up camp for the night in the woods. This was such an easy tent to set up (and I had never set up a tent before) it took me a second to figure it out then I was golden (10minutes tops). The rain fly is amazing woke up in the morning to rain and the tent was completely dry inside. I love this tent and would recommend this to anyone.

Comments about ALPINE DESIGN Adventurer 2 Tent:

Heavy - Packagec in box. Once out tent is still 8 pounds.
Not true free standing - Rainfly has to be steaked down.
Zippers gave up after some use.
Useless back window - Tent is mesh anyway.
Difficult to put up - Out of the box the instructions were bad to nonexistent, supports all tied together, making it difficult to erect tent, plus nothing tlls you which direction it goes in. Stiff, hard to fit, fiberglass whose ends break under stress once erected and taken ddown a few times.
Side vents in fly leak when closed or open.
Take down is difficult due to one piece supports.

I took this tent backpacking on the Florida Trail and after a few miles I could really feel the added weight. At over 8 lbs, this tent ain't light, but the quality and durability were great for the price. This would be great for car camping.
